The Engagement Team Assistant Accountant is accountable in executing the processes in order to deliver the services to the clients. S/he shall work with various teams, servicing multiple clients at the same time. S/he may need to supervise and guide junior members of the team depending on the engagement.

Responsibilities

Accounting:

  • Check completeness of records from client
  • Prepare/Review Journal Entries
  • Prepare/Review Account Reconciliations
  • Generate basic Financial Reports
  • Prepare other management reports (e.g., weekly cash position, monthly budget vs actual, etc.)

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare/review tax computation worksheets and draft tax returns/reports
  • File tax returns/reports and ensure payment before deadlines
  • Archive filed returns/reports

Payroll Support:

  • Prepare/review Payroll Register
  • Prepare/review Bank Upload File
  • Prepare and send payslips
  • Generate SSS, PhilHealth and HDMF reports and ensure submission and remittance before due dates
  • Archive filed reports

Disbursements Support:

  • Review expense reports and bill requests
  • Generate bills for payment
  • Prepare/review Bank Upload File
  • Release cheques/transfer online to suppliers
  • Archive vouchers

Billing and Collection Support:

  • Prepare invoices
  • Send follow-up emails to clients for collection
  • Reconciles cash received in banks versus books
  • Archive records

Special Projects:

  • Assist in Accounting Software Integration projects
  • Assist in Audit engagements
  • Assist in business registration/updates engagement
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

  • Preferably a graduate of BS in Accountancy, BS in Accounting Technology, BS in Accounting Information System, BS in Management Accounting or other similar courses
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience required
