Job Description
As Business Controller you will be a member of the Group Business Controlling Team and part of newly founded team with exciting cross functional responsibilities, tasks and initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial in seeing and understanding of the whole picture of the organisation's business goals, objectives and business models. That is the enabler to be capable to link business-critical information to the extensive analysis, assembling decision-making information and possible outcomes linked to the different company’s goals. You will be working as soul contributor and team player but also regularly connect with business partners such as Business (Case) Owners, Product Owners, Project Managers, Sales Managers, dedicated Business Area Controllers and Group Controllers. Your financial performance analysis, comparisons and scenario modelling will be vital for the steady improvement of Avaloq’s business growth and profitability. Your talent in understanding financial and business information, translating data into decision-taking material, connecting different business insights and communicating is your best skill to support Avaloq’s success story.

Your key tasks
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, improvement opportunitiesand risks.
- Translate business areas goals into measurable key performance indicators.
- Analyse existing and running business cases to identify performance gaps, risks and back to track actions
- Together with the Head Group Business Controlling, evaluate the cross functional (business areas) financial results by analysing reports.
- Conduct commercial analysis and develop Financial Scenario Analysis.
- Initiate improvement processes in Financial and Operational Management together with internal stakeholders and establish control and measurement of the implementation.
- A controlling academic background (i.e., bachelor’s degree in finance or business economics)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in financial controlling, business controlling or group controlling preferably within the financial or IT industry
- English-fluent
- Expert in Microsoft Office applications and especially in Excel but also skilful user of digital application such as Power BI orSAP BW
- High degree of confidence and flair for digital products
- Exhibits excellent analytical skills, the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment, and meeting overall objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident in presenting and guiding cross functional discussions
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills and high degree of initiative and dependability
