Position Reporting is a regulatory requirement for individuals and corporations to disclose relevant interest in equity and equity-linked securities of a listed corporation to the issuer and to the regulator. Individuals and corporations are treated as having an interest in securities if they hold, directly or indirectly, voting rights of shares and/or financial instruments relating to voting rights with which shares can be acquired.

Position Reporting Group (PRG) is responsible for the capture of regulatory and legislative rules governing shareholder monitoring and disclosures to regulators, stock exchanges and issuers globally and management of the daily reporting activities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily monitoring and disclosure across jurisdictions in APAC to identify substantial positions or reportable trades in relevant securities against reportable thresholds or regulatory position limits such as short positions, foreign ownership, sensitive sectors and takeovers, etc.
  • Work on BAU matters covering substantial and short position reporting, regulatory limit monitoring, takeover dealings disclosure, trading restriction, trade clearance, issuer requests etc.
  • Undertake Quality assurance checks and take responsibility for all APAC regulatory filings made on behalf of the Bank.
  • Proactively review and identify gaps and potential issues, work with internal partners to come up with solutions to ensure robust controls over existing processes
  • Lead or assist line manager on ongoing project work for APAC in respect of various regional and global initiatives, e.g. responding to regulatory changes, system build, data completeness and analysis, ongoing enhancements etc.
  • Work closely with Regional and Global Position Reporting, Technology and other stakeholders.


Your Skills And Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in financial industry, investment bank or experience gained in Business Line Compliance or large accounting and advisory firms.
  • Sound understanding of position reporting function at an investment bank ( consideration will be given to someone with any regulatory reporting experience) .
  • Knowledge of shareholding and takeover rules and disclosure obligations; understanding of financial markets, ideally with equities and derivatives knowledge, trade lifecycle is an advantage.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to cope under pressure and adhere to daily deadlines; and be a strong team player able to build effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Able to become collaborative and can work independently, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline driven and high-risk environment.
  • Able to respond positively to challenges, solutions-focused and detail intensive.
  • Have excellent communication skills, and able to confidently interact with a diverse set of stakeholders, and is innovative, adaptable, and can drive change
  • Be able to work effectively with functional leads, adopting a mature and professional attitude, fully embracing the benefits of teamwork.
  • Proactive and take initiative to identify and improve knowledge and processes.
  • Experience with systems build and project management – desired
  • Good analytical, workflow and data analysis skills.
  • Good level of MS Office and Project management skills desirable are also desirable.
