Our team acts as the risk and financial gatekeeper, ensuring that compliance, risk, and regulatory guidelines are met to safeguard both the business and our customers.
Role Overview:
As a Junior Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in risk management and regulatory compliance by conducting due diligence, reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance with global regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supplier Compliance: Review and verify existing suppliers’ licensing and insurance documentation to ensure compliance.
• VAT & Database Management: Assess suppliers’ VAT registration status and update internal records accordingly.
• Risk Analysis & Reporting: Use a combination of manual investigation and automated tools to analyse data and
generate compliance reports.
• Process Optimization: Provide feedback to team members to improve compliance review processes.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with team members, sharing insights and ideas constructively.
• Regulatory Compliance Support: Assist the manager in responding to compliance queries from various
worldwide jurisdictions.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Strong communication skills – Fluency in both spoken and written English is required; an additional language from the EMEA region is a plus.
• Attention to detail – Ability to accurately review documentation, including financial data, currencies, and amounts.
• Analytical mindset – Quick comprehension of guidelines and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Work experience – Prior experience in an international, fast-paced environment is preferred; compliance experience in the travel industry is a significant advantage.
• Self-discipline & decision-making – Strong ability to work independently, make sound compliance-related decisions, and maintain credibility.
• Tech-savvy – Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level required) and strong digital literacy.
• Adaptability – Ability to prioritise tasks, manage a high volume of requests, and adapt to changes effectively.
