What you'll be doing

He/She manages the price plan and price gain/loss forecasts for Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) under the direction of the Pricing Director. These plans and numbers are critical to drive profitable growth.

Work with regional leaders to create and track price plans. Provide analysis and recommendations to reach price goals.

Improve our use of best-practice strategic frameworks and analytical techniques. Lead pricing strategy initiatives, analysis, data management and automation.

Manage the price adjustment approval process for Asia. Ensure approvals are processed smoothly and efficiently with proper compliance.

  • Manage the overall AMEA price gain/loss plan. Work with the pricing director on plan development and driving execution.
  • Manage price planning processes: propose activities, targets, monitor monthly, quarterly, and yearly status and directions.
  • Lead and/or support strategic initiatives and strategies, such as long-tail pricing, price/margin analysis, list-less pricing, freight pricing, MNC pricing, Power/Risk frameworks, and more.
  • Adopt best-practice strategies and frameworks to maximize price realization and make the best pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with key functions such as product marketing, life-cycle management, regional sales, and finance to assess current pricing strategies and implement plans to address gaps or optimization opportunities.
  • Support negotiations and analysis for long-term contracts.
  • Deploy and drive adoption of tools that ensure data accuracy, decision quality, and operation efficiency of pricing and discount processes.
  • Drive improvements in pricing processes and policies including deal management and approvals.
  • Initiate, plan, and execute projects.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on a regular basis - price realization versus budget commitments by market segments, region, customer, model, etc.
  • Maintain comprehensive pricing data and reporting system for AMEA and collaborate with global systems team.
  • Monitor rebate application process. Coordinate with sales and finance teams on rebate analysis and track progress on status of rebate agreements.
  • Provide timely updates of rebate and price/volume position of rebate agreements for executive decision making.
  • Monitor process performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
  • Identify and track key pricing metrics to improve visibility of results.
  • Prepare executive presentations and support for key management planning meetings.
  • Support sales staff with materials and tools required to improve price realization.
  • Conduct basic training on pricing programs, processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Coach and mentor analysts in a functional/technical capacity.
  • Assist with onboarding of new analysts.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
  • At least 6 to 8 years of experience in a pricing or pricing-related role, preferably within the banking and financial services industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, financial modelling, and strategic pricing techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex pricing strategies to stakeholders
  • Familiarity with pricing software and tools, such as pricing optimisation software or Excel-based pricing models
  • A customer-centric mindset and the ability to balance business objectives with customer needs
