Introduction: As a leading IT services provider, we are seeking a highly skilled Level 3 IT Technician to join our dynamic team. This role requires an expert-level understanding of server and network infrastructure to support our diverse client base. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex systems, resolving high-level technical issues, and contributing to projects that enhance our technological framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, install, and maintain servers, including physical and virtual environments.

Implement and troubleshoot network services, software systems, and infrastructure components.

Lead the planning and execution of network design and integration strategies.

Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.

Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for network performance issues.

Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

Configure and troubleshoot networking hardware, including routers, switches, and hubs.

Perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

Mentor junior technicians by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.

Collaborate with project management and IT teams to enhance system performance and undertake corrective action.

Serve as the primary liaison for third-party support and IT vendors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high-level technical support role.

Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, or similar technologies are preferred (e.g., MCSE, CCNP, CCIE).

Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure, server architecture, and installation and configuration of network systems.

Proficient with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V.

Extensive experience with Windows/Linux Server environments.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically while working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Skills:

Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, patch management, and network security.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with various levels of technology users and decision makers.

Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects.
