Responsibilities
- Develops project strategy and project timelines which balances group workload, while maintaining business priorities among the handled departments.
- Participates as a member of the Executive Committee in formulating corporate strategy, policies, plans and budgets; and in monitoring company performance to ensure the achievement of corporate mission and goals.
- Formulate the division’s functions, objectives and strategies that are fully integrated with corporate objectives and strategies; and cohere across R&D departments in order to achieve or exceed corporate objectives.
- Monitors, measures and reports business critical issues to immediate superior and Board of Directors about opportunities, challenges, development, plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
- Drives, monitors and evaluates all aspects of departments’ performance, inclusive of management and monitoring of expenses as prescribed in the annual budget
- Introduces and establishes new applicable trends, practices and/or approach in product/packaging research and development in the organization.
- Evaluates and accredits suppliers in accordance to the requirements of the division’s studies/experiments; recommends discontinuance of service.
- Directs the development of new products and product improvements, from the concept phase to successful commercialization.
- Determines project feasibility and key product attributes leading to the creation of successful products that are aligned with Marketing and Institutional & Export Sales’ development strategy.
- Oversees continuous introduction of new products and cake designs based on current trends and consumer’s preferences while maintaining uniqueness advantage over competing brands.
- Evaluates and leads, in collaboration with Manufacturing Director, the development and/or formulation of corrective actions for repetitive deficiency findings in the audit facilitation on the formulation and process standards of plants.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts and Other related courses
- ,Master’s Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry and other related food science course.
- 10 years' experience as Product Development or Technical Services experience in Food Service, Manufacturing Industry.
- Highly proficient technical skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point;
- Demonstrated project management experience;
- Ability to be self-directed, forward thinking and make complex decisions that drive business performance;
- Knowledgeable of statistical and analytical tools and fundamentals;
- Excellent communication, influencing and problem solving;
- Ability to effectively build and maintain strong working relationship with both
- internal and external customers
