Could you be the full-time Planning Engineer in Ortigas, Philippines we’re looking for?

Your future role (Key responsibilities):

Create Project Execution Plans:

  • Based on the proper engineering techniques to build the relevant sequences to meet all milestones, using Planning Tools (such as Primavera) to set up the Baseline programme.

Project Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor day-to-day work progress for a project and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports by swiftly communicating potential progress delays or project slippages.
  • Track and analyze field results is another key responsibility.
  • Continually make comparisons between planned progress and actual progress and report any differences to their lead project manager.
  • Study the impact of alternative approaches.
  • Monthly follow up of indicators and anticipation of activities slippage.
  • Early warning to subsystems.
  • Identification of critical path and proposal of delay recovery measures.
  • Computation of EOT together with Contract Manager.
  • Support preparation of records for potential delay events.

Perform Project Coordination:

  • Make sure complex projects are handled on time and on budget by overseeing the project planning, inventory services, cost control, team leadership, and project management.
  • Provide current status updates to vendors, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Managing overall project communications is a critical part of them successfully completing their role.

Monthly/Weekly Progress:

  • review of Monthly report to Client, review with planning manager
  • Accuracy and analysis of Progress curves
  • Review of Alstom Internal Monthly Report (MPR) and Weekly Progress Report (WPR) together with sub system teams
  • Work with sub system teams to ensure optimization of programme, be proactive for resequencing proposal and productivity improvement.

Drive Process Improvement:

  • Driving continuous improvement by working with leadership teams.
  • Identify gaps in key performance areas and plan activities to increase overall project efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and deliver schedules to facilitate project execution strategy.

All about you (Qualifications):

  • Min. 8 years of Planning Construction industry, preferably on Electric and Mechanic Railway Projects.
  • Good knowledge of Railway Projects.
  • Able to use the software packages competently (MS office, Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Candidate must be excellent in P6 & Excel; experience in project EOT claims.
  • Able to accept criticism and work under pressure.
  • Analytical, Initiative, Persistent, Determined, Attention to detail.
