Description

(Although we may not have any current openings, we are always accepting applications for Graphic Artists)

Critical Functions

Queue Management

Work percentage: 10%

  • Process daily pending orders from clients.
  • Recreating quality vectors and mock-ups.
  • Accomplish all rotated orders per day.
  • Ability to multi-task to support different strategies and initiatives of the department
  • Manage Art queues, bins, emails and tickets

Art Development

Work percentage: 40%

  • Creates designs that are on strategy and reflect the brand’s personality.
  • Develops layouts, vectors, and art working pages ready for print.
  • Provide a visual / virtual representation of what the specific product would look like as an aid to client's understanding on how their artworks would be placed on the products.
  • Provides correct imprint method and design solutions based on the client’s needs while meeting production/printing standards.
  • Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media and updated on the new trends and new design software programs.
  • Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Create cohesive design / layout for the company’s and/or business unit’s website
  • Support and participate in the development of the department’s strategies and initiatives within the company.

Quality Assurance

Work percentage: 40%

  • Maintain quality artworks and an error free output.
  • Double check customer’s requested artwork and instructions to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Error rate should not be more than 10% rate annually.
  • Use sound judgement in decision making to achieve quality output, daily goals and to know when to escalate issues to the Supervisor.

Collaboration

Work Percentage: 5%

  • Communicate with other departments to resolve issues
  • Solve Art related issues and answer inquiries

Progressive Training

Work Percentage: 5%

  • Continuous learning of all required information pertaining to the processing of graphic design
  • Recommend changes to existing processes and systems to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the department as a whole
  • Closely work with supervisors to enhance daily productivity and efficiency

Education/Training

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Fine Arts and Design, Advertising, Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Background/Experience

  • 1+ year of experience as a Graphic Artist or of a similar scope.

Skillset Required

  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop (CC version) and other applications.
  • Has knowledge in different printing processes like Silkscreen, Debossing, and Transfer.
  • Must be familiar with the use of Pantone Colors.
  • Knowledgeable in Color Separation.
  • Font articulate and can easily identify and memorize font styles.
  • Time Management and Organizational skills.
  • Familiar on a Windows 7.
  • Good Communication skills – both oral and written

  • Work driven and can easily grasp instructions.
