The Accounting/ Admin/ Compliance Staff handles the accounting of transactions, processing of payments, and monitoring of expenses. S/he assists in the preparation of accounting entries, downloading and review of posted entries, preparation of monthly reconciliation and balancing reports to make sure that transactions are properly taken up, and float items/ abnormal balances, if there is any, are immediately resolved. S/he handles/ assists on the processing of internal and external requirements such annual registration with LGU, requirements of internal audit, external audit and other compliances such as annual submission of requirements to SEC and BIR, and renewal of various certifications/ accreditations of BPI Foundation with regulatory / government agencies. S/he also provides administrative support to ensure that the operations are in compliance with the prescribed policies and procedures.

Responsibility

  • Reconciles General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledger balances regularly and resolves discrepancy, if there is any, or elevate for proper disposition.
  • Prepares monthly budget variance reports, and identifies causes of unfavorable variances.
  • Assists in the preparation of financial and compliance reports for submission to internal and external parties such as various BPI units, external audit, BIR, LGU, DSWD, SEC, and PCNC
  • Provides administrative support such as supplies requisition, capital expenditures, and monitoring reports to ensure that the operations are in compliance with the prescribed policies and procedures.
  • Handles other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time for the achievement of the objectives of the organization

Qualifications

  • A graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Preferably with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting/bookkeeping.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for nonprofit organizations.
