Our client is an independent benefits agency specializing in employee benefits consulting, serving 250+ corporate clients. They manage everything from benefit plan design, renewals, compliance, and employee education to ensure our clients provide top-tier benefits to their employees.
Our client is looking for a highly detail-oriented, data-driven HR Administration support to help the account management team. This role involves handling eligibility updates, claims research, data audits, compliance setup, and Salesforce updates. The ideal candidate is a relentless executor, thrives on precision, and enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure smooth benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities
Eligibility & Enrollment Data Management
- Process all eligibility changes from Employee Navigator and paper applications, including new hires, address changes, dependent updates, income changes, and qualifying life events.
- Enter and update employee data through carrier portals, including Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, UHC, and others.
Open Enrollment & Data Scrubbing
- Scrub open enrollment spreadsheets for missing data, formatting issues, and accuracy.
- Extract data from Employee Navigator and submit it to carriers.
- Circulate and review new hire paperwork when clients change carriers or when new clients onboard.
Claims, Billing, & Client Record Management
- Research claims issues for individual members, working behind the scenes to identify discrepancies and resolutions.
- Conduct bill audits to ensure accuracy and flag any inconsistencies.
- Update client records in Salesforce, including effective dates, carrier details, policy numbers, and other pertinent data.
New Client & Compliance Support
- Work with the account management team to create and maintain a new client onboarding document and collect necessary data.
- Assist in setting up COBRA, Section 125, and ERISA compliance with third-party administrators (TPAs).
SOP Development & Process Optimization
- Fine-tune SOPs in Trainual as processes evolve, ensuring documentation remains current and effective.
- Support ongoing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Who You Are
You are highly data-driven and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to execute tasks efficiently. You take ownership of your responsibilities, ensuring accuracy and structure in everything you do. Strong problem-solving skills allow you to research claims issues, resolve eligibility discrepancies, and support compliance requirements. You have an interest in creating, improving, and executing structured workflows and are comfortable working within Salesforce, Employee Navigator, and other benefits platforms.
Experience in employee benefits, insurance, or HR administration is preferred but not required. A background in data entry, benefits eligibility management, or account support would be beneficial. Experience with Salesforce, Trainual, and compliance administration is a plus.
