The Medical Scheduler’s daily duties include handling email and phone correspondence, collecting basic patient information, and scheduling appointments. He/she serves as the initial contact with the patient, and excellent customer service skills are necessary for medical schedulers; they must be able to address patients' concerns and collect or update account information as necessary. He/she is responsible for planning needed follow-up calls or appointments. Certain labs and tests may need to be scheduled for the patient, as well as future appointments.

- Set appointment schedule for consultation for Orthopedic case patients on Tebow CURE Hospital waiting list.
- Coordinate with focal persons of LGUs and municipalities for the schedule of appointments for consultation of patients residing in their area.
- Conducts follow-up with focal persons of LGUs, municipalities, and to patients residing in distant places 1 week before the scheduled appointment to confirm and finalize details.
- Issuance of appointment confirmation letter for patients residing outside Davao City.
- Facilitating, encoding, and forwarding transport & accommodation requests of patients.
- Conducts checking every after clinic if the patient arrived in their schedule.
- Rescheduling of patients who did not attend their consultation date.
- Contact patients two days before to remind them of their scheduled appointment (New, old, and post-op).
- Monitoring of clubfoot patients (waiting list, scheduled, ongoing casting, and done surgery).
- Checking of discharge logbook for a post-opt routine schedule of patients.
- Encoding in clinical appointment spreadsheet the follow-up schedule checkup of patients every after clinic.
- Encoding in FileMaker details of ortho, cleft, P&O, and hernia patients for clinic appointments coming from Facebook and walk-in inquiry.
- Encoding in Bizbox and FileMaker details of patients a day before their scheduled consultation to add them to the clinic list.
- Assist in the P&O clinic (communicating with patients about their schedule & answering their inquiries).
- Assist in the Hernia clinic (Sets appointments, sending of instructions to guardians/parents of patients on what to bring during consultation).
- Monitoring of COVID-positive patients (coordinating with LGU and OPCEN for their transportation & pick-up going back to a place of origin).
- Uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency in line with hospital quality programs (e.g. Safecare, DOH, etc.) requirements.
- Ensure a safe and secure work environment by strictly adhering to infection prevention and control protocols such as but not limited to handwashing, wearing of PPE, etc.
- Commit to sustainable and eco-friendly work practices by minimizing waste, optimizing resource usage, and actively participating in initiatives that promote environmental stewardship.
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or another related field.

- Minimum Experience Required: Prior receptionist experience, ideally in a medical clinic environment
- Knowledge of common medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
- Computer competency for data entry and the production of reports and schedules
- Display kindness and be open to providing scheduling accommodations to patients, clients, or staff
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner
