Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accounting Manager to oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, and financial reporting functions. This role ensures financial accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient operations within the finance department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid accounting background, and a proactive approach to process improvements.

Your Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Management:

  • Oversee accounts payables, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Review and approve AP transactions, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Monitor vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Improve AP processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Bookkeeping & General Accounting

  • Maintain accurate financial records following accounting principles.
  • Ensure proper classification and recording of transactions in the general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and other financial accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within the accounting function.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance financial controls and reporting.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
