Role Description
The Operations & HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Manager for Key Accounts is responsible for overseeing the seamless execution of fleet operations and ensuring compliance with HSE regulations for high-value corporate clients. This role involves managing service delivery, optimizing operational efficiency, and implementing safety protocols to maintain high-quality standards while aligning with client expectations. Additionally, the role requires a strong focus on retaining and growing business with key accounts by delivering exceptional service and identifying opportunities for expansion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Oversee and coordinate fleet operations for key accounts to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) with key accounts are met or exceeded.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, availability, and maintenance schedules to prevent operational disruptions.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Procurement, Fleet, Finance, and Customer Service) to ensure smooth business operations.
2. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with industry regulations and corporate standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across fleet operations and client sites.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Train and educate staff on HSE best practices, emergency procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure vehicles meet safety standards and environmental compliance regulations.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for key account clients on operational and safety concerns.
- Regularly engage with clients to address concerns, provide updates, and propose solutions for service improvements.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and proactively resolve service issues.
- Retain and grow business with key accounts by delivering superior service, identifying client needs, and proposing additional solutions.
- Work closely with the sales and account management teams to explore business expansion opportunities within existing key accounts.
4. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operations, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Generate reports on fleet performance, incidents, and compliance status for management review.
- Recommend operational adjustments based on data insights and industry trends.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Transport Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fleet operations, logistics, or HSE management.
- Experience handling key accounts and corporate clients is highly preferred.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of fleet management principles and operational best practices.
- Knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and operational performance tracking.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance schedules, procurement processes, and fuel management.
