We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of VP - Project Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Leadership of operational aspects of the Global project & responsibility for the agreed Operations scope and Operations milestone deliveries within the project.
- Manage delivery of multiple tasks/milestones from inception to implementation for Operations; ensure timely and cost effective delivery; actively manage project portfolio conflicts – schedule embargos, issues management and delivery risk.
- Ensuring Operations plan is in full alignment with global plan and any dependencies and conflicts are appropriately managed and resolved.
- Act as an escalation point within the project for operations scope and responsible for removing localised impediments with stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Responsible for ensuring ongoing and consistent engagement and relationship management with stakeholders across the project (i.e. Process Owners, Regional and Function Heads) as well as to corresponding S&CD stakeholders/management.
- Responsible for ensuring all regional project and programme Milestones, Risks, Issues, Dependencies and Change Requests are logged in Clarity and monitored accordingly to limit the risk to any deliverables.
- Oversight of status reports produced for the project – ensuring timely and consistent updates are produced in line with reporting and governance cycles.
- Responsible for ensuring the Global HSBC Change Framework (HCF) / S&CD framework and governance is consistently applied across the project for Operations (i.e. working groups, reporting updates, Clarity updates, etc.).
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong and proven experience in running large projects or programmes within a large organisation.
- Previous experience leading a project/programme team through challenging and time critical deadlines.
- Thought leader with the ability to innovatively lead the project team to achieve the go-live deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to building strong relationships with team, peers, stakeholders and external delivery teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering overviews and chairing working groups with the team and stakeholders.

- Champion knowledge-sharing and best practices within the team.
- Undertake detailed analysis and remain delivery focused.Furthermore, the successful candidate needs to take ownership of all aspects of the projects to delivery and review.
- All aspects across the people, process and technology dimensions need to be considered to ensure that change is effectively delivered into the organization.
- Excellent relationship building skills and considerable experience working with external vendors along with an ability to manage sensitive relationships.
