The process expert is responsible for helping to govern the E2E lending processes and collaborating with tribe lending product leads and external stakeholders (lending, risk management, countries) to improve internal business processes. The role requires deep knowledge of business process management, process analysis and modelling using well-established methods like lean and six sigma, and experience in process discovery and optimization projects.
Ability to create and update an inventory / repository of enterprise processes is also key, together with a solid grasp of both business and technology concepts; requirements and business architecture designs; and how they depend on and affect each other.

- Experience in projects related to Business Process optimization.
- Skilled at conveying ideas to a technical or business audience in a way that is meaningful, easy to understand and engaging.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and analytical skills.
- Facilitating workshops and taking the lead of process work streams (not a full project).
- Consultancy background.
- Can implement new/amended process design in practice.
- Experience with linking attributes (applications, controls, roles, data etc) to processes.
- Is keen on upholding one global way of working – is not seduced by local initiatives.
- Having an interest in a broader context rather than just creating a process model.
Your key responsibilities:
- Provide process architecture / business process management advice and assurance.
- Do process discovery, analysis, and monitoring and train others in the tribe lending on process description and optimization.
- Contribute to process optimization design and advice for key transformation projects.
- Assist in translating lending processes into the ING model repository (Aris) and map it to tech landscape for transformation demand.
- Work with business, tech, and data functions to align business and IT with the process inventory connected to tech landscape.
- Work with business and product owners to envision process changes and the technical changes needed.
We are looking for you if:
- Excellent command of English (Oral and written).
- Experience in Business Process Management and creating and analyzing process models.
- Experience in developing optimization / automation approaches.
- Experience in working in global change and transformation programs.
- Certified in Six Sigma and / or Lean.
- Ability to use Aris, PlantUML, Draw.io, Archimate or similar business process mapping tool.
- Possess an elevated level of knowledge in core areas, incl. design thinking, business capability modelling, process models, value stream mapping, customer & user profiling, journey maps.
- Agile Way of Working / Experience of collaboration with offshore teams.
- Pro-active, open minded, goal driven personality and the capabilities to optimally function within an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following banking domains: Lending, Credit or Operations. (good to have).
- Ability to use networks in ING Bank to access additional expertise if needed.
- Comfortable working with uncertainty at the start of projects, with ability to provide clear direction despite this.
- Initiative-taker, ability to establish and deliver on priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., Master, PhD) or a strong academic record is a strong plus.
- 1-3+ years of work experience related to Business Process management.
- Experience in the banking industry (good to have).
