Position : Staff Accountant
Work Hours (Client) : 7AM - 4PM Central time with 1 hour break (unpaid) : with paid overtime during month-end closing
Holidays : TBD
Pay Range : $1300 - $1600 USD/month (depending on interview assessment and client's approval)

Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant based in the Philippines to support our U.S.-based finance team. This role requires experience in payroll reconciliation, accounts receivable, collections, trade spend, sales tax, fixed assets, and month-end close reconciliations. The Staff Accountant will also assist with audit preparations and financial reporting. This is a night shift role to align with U.S. business hours.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor the AR and AP inboxes
• Assist in the processing in A/P invoices
• Invoice customers, prepare customer statements, and collect on accounts as needed. • Prepare month end Sales reconciliation
• Process customer deductions as credit memos and dispute as needed.
• Prepare month-end trade spend reporting
• Perform monthly credit card, bank, and account reconciliations.
• Review credit card transactions and prepare monthly department T/E reporting
• Prepare, process and post payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
• Responsible for accurate posting of all payroll accruals to the General Ledger.
• Facilitate miscellaneous payroll reporting for all external and internal users, as requested. • Post sales tax entries and monthly reconciliations of sales accounts.
• Assist in month-end closing duties including accruals, identifying discrepancies, proposing adjusting journal entries, as well as other general closing support.
• Analyze current policies and procedures in order to develop and implement changes for improved efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Perform special projects as assigned and support Senior Accountant.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university with an emphasis in Accounting required.
• Minimum 4-5 years of Accounting/Finance experience required.
• Experience using QuickBooks required or NetSuite will be a plus
• Strong Excel skills required.
• CPA with Big 4 accounting firm work experience is preferred.
• Experience in working night shifts or with U.S. teams is a plus.
• Possess the verbal and written communication skills to effectively with co- workers and all levels of management.
• Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills to manage tasks, projects and prescribed duties.
• Self-motivated and able to work and perform independently to complete prescribed duties and assignments.
