SUMMARY
The Inside Account Manager drives sales and revenue within designated industry verticals and market segments across a specific region. This role focuses on cultivating and maintaining enduring customer relationships while expanding customer growth and increasing wallet share through a strategic, solutions-based sales approach.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish relationships at all levels within the customer's organization to ensure comprehensive coverage of all purchasing influencers.
• Align and mobilize company resources to deepen business relationships in support of customer needs.
• Expand and maintain the customer base through proactive telesales activities.
• Recommend tailored solutions that address customer requirements.
• Own and be accountable for meeting retention and growth targets.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services to effectively present and upsell offerings.
• Manage all phases of the sales process—serving as the primary contact for prospects and customers from pre-sales engagement and active selling through negotiation, closing, and handoff to implementation teams.
• Respond promptly to all customer phone calls and emails.
• Collect and document comprehensive customer intelligence to inform future campaign targeting.
• Lead commercial and legal negotiations.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Salesforce CRM by tracking all activities, including calls, emails, leads, opportunities, accounts, and forecasting.
• Schedule events, callbacks, and follow-ups, and maintain communications as organized within Salesforce.
• Collaborate in creating and participating in marketing events such as trade shows and seminars.
• Develop presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
• Adhere to internal sales processes, including CRM system usage, order entry, and production of client-facing materials.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated planning skills with the ability to “think outside the box” and recognize the broader impact of decisions and actions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate our products and services to existing clients.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within a technology sector.
• Experience in strategic selling in a technology-related industry—such as Cloud Services (IaaS, SaaS, Colocation), IT services, hardware, software, or telecommunications—is an asset.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma, or an equivalent of 5 years of work experience.
