Head of Operations (eCommerce Logistics/ FMCG)

The role will manage and scale all of core operations. Key objective is to ensure that operational standards and costs are within targeted levels to achieve explosive growth yet ensuring financial targets of the organization are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Co-design operational strategies to adapt to changing market demands
  • Oversee the execution of operational strategies to ensure successful execution
  • Manage the entire core operations’ capacity such that the quality of service is not compromised, yet flexible enough to account for the dynamism nature of the industry and company, and within internal costs targets
  • Oversee and drive performance via Monitoring the execution of new performance initiatives to ensure smooth execution and delivery within timelines; Analyzing data to translate these large data sets into insights and thus generate useful actionable to drive performance; Thinking strategically in an all-rounded approach to ensure that performance is improved within the right time and the right way; Going to the ground to resolve issues when required.
  • Work with regional teams to ensure that network design allows the group to achieve speed and cost targets.
  • Initiate costs control initiatives, and overseeing the execution of these initiatives, leading to successful costs controls
  • Oversee costs control processes, and to standardize and continuously improve upon them
  • Monitor costs progressions and ensure that changes are made swiftly if there are any deviations from targets
  • Align with the commercial team needed changes to the network to improve commercial competitiveness and performance
  • Work with HR to establish strong engagement across main office, back office, and ground staff employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 10 years work experience
  • Experience in management consulting or e-commerce logistics
  • Degree in business, engineering or any related quantitative field. MBA will be a plus
  • Results driven
  • Highly comfortable with numbers and adept in excel modeling
  • Skilled in breaking down complex problems into fundamental logical blocks
  • Effective communication, strong interpersonal skills
  • Organized, quick thinking and efficient
  • Meticulous with effective follow-up skills
