The opportunity as SEO Lead
As SEO Lead, you'll work closely with their Head of Growth to pioneer an AI-enhanced SEO strategy that drives exponential organic growth across their brands. This role requires a unique blend of traditional SEO mastery and the ability to leverage emerging AI technologies to transform how they approach organic search.
You'll take full ownership of their SEO function, using AI tools and automation to supercharge our capabilities across technical audits, content creation, and link building. You'll identify opportunities where AI can dramatically improve efficiency and effectiveness, while maintaining the human touch where it matters most.
Your scope will span traditional SEO pillars enhanced by AI innovation: from technical SEO (using AI for predictive analysis and automated optimizations) to content strategy (leveraging AI for keyword clustering, content generation, and real-time optimization) across Google, Reddit, and YouTube. You'll develop platform-specific strategies that ensure their content ranks highly and engages users wherever they're searching, with an initial focus on Google and Reddit optimization.
Most importantly, you'll build and lead a future-ready SEO team. You'll hire and develop specialists who share their vision for AI-enhanced SEO, establishing scalable processes that blend human expertise with AI capabilities. Your team will be at the forefront of implementing emerging AI technologies while maintaining strategic oversight and quality control.
This is a full-time, fully remote role.

Must-haves
- 5+ years of SEO experience with exceptional technical knowledge.
- Proven track record of implementing complex technical SEO strategies at scale.
- Deep understanding of AI applications in SEO. Experience leveraging AI tools for technical audits, content optimization, and link building. Ability to identify and implement emerging AI technologies effectively.
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing SEO teams.
- Expert in advanced analytics, data visualization, and machine learning applications.
- Ability to extract actionable insights and measure ROI across all SEO initiatives.
- Track record of successfully collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Content teams.
- Experience training machine learning models or developing AI applications for SEO.
- Understanding of large language models and their applications.
- Background driving organic growth in health, wellness, or medical industries.
- Experience optimizing sites for multiple markets and languages. Understanding of international SEO best practices.
- Understanding of product development and user experience principles. Ability to align SEO strategies with product goals.
- Track record of building SEO functions from scratch in high-growth environments. Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
- Compensation: $50k-$80k/yr total compensation (salary + equity)
