  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Senior Accountant

LegalSight is an exciting legal services firm at the crossroads of global innovation. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Accountant to join our remote finance team. The finance team collaborates cross-functionally with multiple internal teams, external partners, and third-party vendors.

The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and department head, both US-based. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, a good communicator, inquisitive, and most important - has an eye for detail.

This is a full-time, fully remote position. Working hours will be in U.S. time zone: Monday – Friday 9:30am – 5:30pm Eastern Standard Time.

The role of Senior Accountant will report to two (2) Accounting/Finance team members and take on various tasks to support the accounting & finance functions.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • General ledger housekeeping and reconciliations
  • Process and approve high volume transactions for payment
  • Creation of work papers (support documentation) from source files
  • Document accounting/finance processes (internal controls)
  • Work cross-functionally with different departments and 3rd-party vendors
  • Financial reporting, ad hoc reporting, and data/account analysis
  • Data entry

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in accounting/finance role
  • Ability to navigate multiple accounting/financial systems and databases, experience with accounting/general ledger software required
  • Familiar with basic Excel functionality and other Microsoft Office products
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Positive, open attitude with flexibility to work on different projects
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) skills
  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
  • Attention to detail a must
