What You Will Do

The Sales Planning & Operations (SPO) Head is a key member of the Customer Development (CD) Leadership Team and is responsible for planning & operations which includes shopper marketing, trade activation and field execution.The position ensures that the brand strategies of physical availability is translated into executable plans and enables the CD team to execute with customers.This position also plays a key role to ensure that the IBP forecast incorporates the customer lens and that the sales targets are in sync with the company IBP delivery.

Sales Planning & Operations is the team leading the Kenvue Philippines commercial processes linked to IBP, MBR, BP, Key commercial business updates and strategy development (ie. alignment 3YOP).This function manages a team that supervises sales planning, forecast accuracy building between sales, shopper marketing and marketing.SPO Team represents a single point of contact for all commercial metrics to local/cluster and region.These includes Sales Planning, Retail Excellence, Business Excellence and supports CD to ensure plan sufficiency, governance and streamlined processes to deliver sales, profit and go to market fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities-

Shopper Marketing

  • Responsible for managing brand and channel shopper marketing strategies, sales promotion activities, customer activations and category management per channel.
  • Facilitate the execution of marketing objectives at the channel and customer levels, strategizing and execute the 5Ps per RE to achieve maximum sales and profit.
  • Analyzes market trends and customer and shopper insights to inform marketing strategies and NPI’s.

Trade Activation

  • Ensures that the brand plans are operationalized into the Brand priorities guide with brand tool kits, sales letters, allocations, sales execution plans.
  • Works with CD sector heads, BDM’s and vendors to ensure sufficiency and executional excellence by tracking execution.

Field Execution

  • Leads brilliant retail execution of the plans through management of merchandising agency.
  • Ensure in-store data on sales fundamentals, competitive info, shopper feedback is captured and shared back to CD and the company.
  • Partner with CD in ensuring effective and efficient coverage, maintain relationships with store managers and supervisors.

Sales Forecasting Champion

  • Develop robust IBP/Pre-Demand Review process with forecast accuracy as KPI anchored on sellout plans + portfolio choices – connecting the sales, shopper and marketing component to drive forecast accuracy and one number for sales target performance
  • Links strategic marketing plans to CD operational plans and strives to develop the most beneficial product portfolio and product mix to maximize sales and profit

Channel Execution Planning / Monitoring

  • Developing and executing trade marketing strategies to drive sales and increase brand visibility
  • Collaborating with the Marketing & multi-function teams to create promotional campaigns
  • Working with CD sector teams to ensure execution excellence in front of consumers
  • Setting objectives, monitoring progress, and ensuring effective execution of plans and programs

Required Qualifications

  • At least 12 years of experience in commercial / sales operations or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with adaptability to multi-task
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing operational strategies
  • University/Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent in a related field.An MBA would be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to shape processes and drive continuous improvements
  • Experience in implementing controls and ability to strictly enforce protocols / SOPs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Highly organized and excellent in time-management and prioritization
