RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and review accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting models and templates to streamline reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget and forecast by providing financial insights and analysis.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support the annual audit process by preparing relevant schedules and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accounting standards and regulations compliance.
  • Present financial reports and findings to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.

EDUCATION

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or
  • University degree in the above fields with seven years of relevant professional experience.
  • Professional certification as chartered accountant (CA) or certified public accountant (CPA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) will be a distinct advantage.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in administrative and financial management, budget monitoring, cash management and internal control procedures;
  • Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis; and,
  • Experience supervising the development and implementation of administrative control procedures.
