RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and review accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting models and templates to streamline reporting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and forecast by providing financial insights and analysis.
- Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
- Support the annual audit process by preparing relevant schedules and documentation.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accounting standards and regulations compliance.
- Present financial reports and findings to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
- Assist in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
EDUCATION
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or
- University degree in the above fields with seven years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional certification as chartered accountant (CA) or certified public accountant (CPA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) will be a distinct advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in administrative and financial management, budget monitoring, cash management and internal control procedures;
- Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis; and,
- Experience supervising the development and implementation of administrative control procedures.
