As a Finance Analyst at SPCE Corp., you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts payable operations within our Real Estate project division.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Management:
- Process and verify invoices related to RPT, HOA dues, third-party vendors, insurances, and commissions.
- Schedule and prepare checks, resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
- Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments as needed.
Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:
- Maintain vendor files and account balances, ensuring accuracy in reporting and documentation.
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to clarify any questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure terms are met to avoid service disruptions.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly reports.
- Continue to improve the payment process and work closely with the procurement department to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly.
Compliance and Controls:
- Adhere to established company accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with financial and tax audits, and implement any necessary corrective actions related to accounts payable processes.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the finance team to ensure effective financial management within the company.
- Assist with other accounting projects in the finance department as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in real estate industry is highly preferred.
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
