This position performs moderate research, design, and systems engineering assignments and responds to system management alerts to handle system/operations exceptions, within the assigned enterprise systems of product and service offerings. Additionally, this position is also responsible for triage change management support.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree (Information Systems, Computer Science)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Windows server operating systems including Windows 2012, Windows 2016, Windows 2019, and Windows 2022 in a large, corporate environment.
- At least 3 years of Advanced experience supporting and configuring VMWare.
- Advanced experience with Windows performance monitoring and tuning.
- Advanced experience with Windows Active Directory including sites and services, schema, attributes, topology and security.
- Advanced experience with Windows Active Directory DNS, DHCP and WINS.
- Advanced Windows troubleshooting and analysis.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills, both in verbal and written forms, are essential for this role.
- Ability to define, analyze and resolve issues both effectively and efficiently.
- Proficient in working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
- Capable of efficiently monitoring, defining, analyzing, and resolving issues in a high-pressure production environment
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for providing Level L2 support.
- Responds to incidents and addresses service requests.
- Responsible for scheduling and implementing Change Requests in compliance with Change Management policies.
- Responsible for providing new server builds.
- Responsible for Problem Management - Problem identification and solution of the problem.
- Responsible for implementing growth capacity requests (storage, CPU, memory).
- Oversees and handles email-related issues within the O365 environment.
- Follow security guidelines for the proper delegation of accounts and privileges.
- Actively participates in team meetings and activities.
- Foster strong, positive relationships with development teams, peers, L3 teams, and End users, emphasizing collaboration and open communication.
- Responsible for the ongoing management and maintenance of the Citrix environment.
- Provide system maintenance by performing routine/monthly maintenance on IT systems and hardware including updates, patches, backups and/or antivirus installations
- Provide professional, clear, concise, and timely status communication to relevant parties on issues and workload summaries
- Provide excellent customer service to end users including responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to improve system operations, with a particular emphasis on automation and cost reduction.
