Ability to review and understand a subledger and accounting basics (debits, credits, accruals, etc.).
Ability to forge strong partnerships with other parts of the business outside of their direct team, as needed, to drive to an end goal.
Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to correspond and speak with various parts of the business effectively.
Comfortable with working in excel and Google sheets.
Willingness to learn new techniques and improve proficiency in the systems required..
Ability to make accurate, independent decisions based on data provided.
Must be flexible and customer focused.
Possess a positive attitude. Can manage conflict and maintain position while being sensitive to overall relationships.

Qualifications
Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
1+ years work experience with evidence of increasing responsibility and scope
Someone who has already worked in a Manila based BPO or Shared Services as a staff analyst, business analyst, or senior financial analyst.
Knowledge of variance analysis, data mining, month end close, requesting input for financial forecasting
Firm understanding of CAPEX versus OPEX
Very strong Excel skills, vlookup, hlookups, if statements, nesting statements, pivot tables – can take large quantities of data often in horrible formats and transform them into meaningful data
Knowledge of the Oracle and Hyperion systems is a plus
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform monthly reconciliation between the financial system and payroll data to support updates
- Run standardized and ad hoc reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis to share with budget
- Run subledger reports out of Oracle to support the Finance team during month end close.
- Perform research and analysis of variances to plan, by reviewing invoices and other journal
- Support the Finance team with annual budget preparations and analysis.
- Document processes and procedures ensuring it complies with Company guidelines and
- Perform backup function especially in cases of high volume or shortage of manpower.
- Escalate issues as appropriate.
- Assist the team with ad hoc analysis and projects throughout the year as needed.
