Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and compilation of comprehensive bid proposals for solar power, wind power, transmission lines, substations, and hydropower projects.
- Align commercial strategies with project objectives, client requirements, and market conditions to maximize profitability and competitive advantage.
- Develop commercial pricing models, cost estimates, contract terms, and conditions in accordance with client specifications and bidding requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and senior management to develop commercial strategies for bidding on energy sector power projects.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis to identify commercial risks associated with energy sector projects.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing agreements, and commercial terms with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and partners.
- Research and analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitors' bids to benchmark pricing strategies and position bids competitively.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners throughout the bidding process.
- Ensure all bid documentation, commercial proposals, and contractual agreements are accurate, complete, and submitted within specified deadlines.
- Prepare comprehensive commercial analysis reports, financial forecasts, and variance analyses for review by senior management.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize commercial strategies, improve profitability, and mitigate risks associated with energy sector projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or any related field.
- Proven experience as a Commercial Engineer, Contract Manager, Bid Manager, or similar role in the energy sector, with specific experience in bidding for RE power projects.
- Strong proficiency in commercial and financial analysis, contract negotiation, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of energy project development, regulatory requirements, procurement processes, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, develop pricing models, and make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with project management principles, contract law, and commercial terms and conditions.
