Position – Network Engineer
Company - Confidential
Location – Pasig City
Contract – 6 Months extendable /Renewable contract with Lancesoft.
Payroll – With Lancesoft
Work Mode – Onsite (Mon – Sat)
Shift time – 7am - 4pm
Responsibilities:-
- Responsible for the documentation, configuration, maintenance and reliable operation of network infrastructure.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations to ensure security compliance
- Provide documentation on network design, implementation and upgrades
- Perform patching, scanning and remediation of network vulnerabilities
- Perform and accomplish Project Related Tasks
- Develop reports on performance and availability of infrastructure systems by review of service uptime, utilization and throughput
- Perform capacity planning and trending to ensure sufficient current and future network resource utilization.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
- Liaise with vendors and support team on the implementation and problem resolution
- Flexibility to work beyond working hours depending on criticality of network related issues.
Job Requirements:-
- Graduate of any course, preferably IT-related courses (ECE, Computer Engineering, IT) or relevant qualifications.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of related work experience in a network engineering, design and support role
- CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued) is preferred
- Strong technical competencies in managing routers, switches, firewalls, VPN appliance, Web proxy, load balancers, IP Telephony etc
- Expert in networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS
- Excellent understanding of the OSI and/or TCP/IP model
- With experience on Aruba and Fortinet devices
- Experience in crafting network design
- With experience on network security and vulnerabilities
- Good analytical skills, resourceful, and able to work under minimum supervision
- Eager to learn new skills / technology and keep abreast with industry trends and best practices
- Ability to articulate, possess strong written, documentation and effective communication skills in English
- Strong sense of ownership for one’s work and takes opportunity to contribute beyond the job description
