Job Summary:

The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our network, systems, and data. This role involves collaborating with other IT teams, conducting security assessments, responding to incidents, and contributing to the overall improvement of our security posture.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor security systems and logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Investigate security incidents and breaches, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive security strategy.
  • Provides relevant content to update information security posters, reminders, awareness write ups.
  • Protects sensitive data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Implements data loss prevention (DLP) and encryption solutions. Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations
  • Reports to the Head of IT and Security Operations.

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years working experience in Information Security, 3+ years in Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering Information Security, or a related field.
  • 2. 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with various security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and security hardening.
  • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH) are preferred
