Key Responsibilities
System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers to ensure system reliability.
- Perform regular system updates, patch management, and performance monitoring.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access controls (Active Directory, Group Policy).
- Administer and maintain virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).

- Ensure compliance with data protection policies and disaster recovery plans.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and server-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve server, database, and application failures.
- Assist in system outages and critical IT incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Develop and maintain backup strategies to protect critical data and system configurations.
- Implement disaster recovery solutions and conduct regular testing to ensure business continuity.
- Ensure data retention policies are enforced across all systems.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Generate reports on system health, performance metrics, and security incidents.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to enhance best practices and operational efficiencies.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSA, SQL Server, ITIL) are a plus.
Work Experience
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator, Database Administrator, or similar role.
- Experience from payments, remittance or fintech companies, preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
- Expertise in SQL database management, optimization, and security.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in managing Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365.
- Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash) for system administration.
- Strong knowledge of server performance tuning, storage solutions, and database optimization.
- Familiarity with backup strategies and disaster recovery planning.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work independently and collaboratively.
