The Head of Data Architecture Team is primarily responsible for defining the best data architecture including software, systems, and integration to enable the optimal flow of data throughout the business. The role is responsible for overall design of the division’s data management framework, which includes description of the processes used to plan, specify, enable, create, acquire, maintain, use, archive, retrieve, control, and purge the data

- Develops and implements an overall organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes. The strategy includes database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems
- Helps identify data sources, both internal and external, and work out a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy
- Coordinates and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system
- Manages end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution
- Plan and execute of big data solutions using modern technologies
- Defines and manage the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization
- Integrates technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security
- Conducts continuous audit of data management system performance, refine whenever required, and report immediately any breach or loopholes to the stakeholders
- Oversees project management and align methodologies and approach according to the project management office framework and standards
- Work with Project Manager in executing the Data Programs/Projects to ensure successful implementation of initiatives
- Supervises the team under him/her and performs administrative functions of a line manager and immediate supervisor
- Improves performance of the team by providing training and mentoring
- Develops Training Plan in coordination with ISG’s PIO as future reference and training material
- Trains the team on their roles and responsibilities
- Participates and contributes to process improvements activities related to his/her role
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or other related courses
- Has at least 10 years of experience in similar function
- Has at least 15 years of experience in software development
- Has at least 4 of years experience in a financial services institution
- Knowledge in Project Management, Advanced analysis and design, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Methodologies, Data modeling concepts and methodologies, and SQL coding
- Knowledge in established and emerging data management and reporting technologies, and have some knowledge of columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualization, and unstructured data
