Position Summary

The main responsibility of the Assistant Manager, Multimedia Designer is to create high-quality multimedia content across various platforms. This position combines creative design skills with leaderships skills, contributing to the success of the Branding department.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists the Creative & Design Manager in overseeing all aspects of multimedia projects, from concept development to final execution.
  • Ensures all artwork and copies are correct and compliant with the guidelines.
  • Collaborates with the Branding team along with other relevant business units to understand the design needs and translate them into impactful visual assets.
  • Takes a project from initial concept to final artwork, ensuring all artworks created are brand compliant.
  • Create high-quality multimedia content, incding graphics, animations, videos and presentations.
  • Stay up up-to-date on the latest design trends and software (Adobe Suite; animation software)
  • Liaises with vendors and suppliers when necessary.
  • Provide design mentorship and guidance to junior artists.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new design talent.
  • Occasionally, lead a project or campaign from conceptualization to placement
  • Assist in maintaining an electronic & print library of all relevant images, artwork and logos to ensure that these are easily accessible for the team.
  • Track design project budgets and resources.
  • Perform other task/s as assigned by your immediate superior

Qualifications

I. Experience

  • At least 10 years’ work experience in a professional design studio or advertising agency
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential
  • Experience in leading small creative teams
  • Good experience of branding and brand development
  • Experience in video editing and animation

II. Education

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline

III. Skills & Competencies

  • Working knowledge in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (a plus)
  • Experience in leadership role
  • Has a strong design portfolio

  • Flexible in working hours, as this may require extra hours out of normal work hours
