The Quality Assurance Specialist is part of an Agile team and is responsible for testing Carenet software systems. Responsibilities
Test Planning and Design
- Create test plans and test cases that ensure the quality of the product
- Understand requirements and translate them into effective tests
- Estimates the level of effort to support planning
- Perform manual testing of software applications
- Execute tests and document results
- Test in multiple environments (DEV, UAT, TRN, PRD)
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing
- Identify, document, and report defects to the software development team
- Assists with identifying the root cause of production defects
- Interface with appropriate IT teams to resolve defects found during testing
- Reduce defects introduced into Production
- Track and log their time daily into Time Entry/Project Planning system
- Document results
- Creates strong relationships with Carenet personnel
- Demonstrate finished work to peers, stakeholders, and leadership
- Willing to help other team members
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies
- Meet individual, team, Sprint, and Project goals
- Commit to improve testing procedures and methods
- Stay up to date with industry standards for software testing
- Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to implement necessary improvements and ensure that the software meets the required standards.
- Responsible for ensuring that the software meets the industry-specific standards and regulations.
- Ensures that software follows best practices and complies with relevant quality and security standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry regulations and standards to ensure the software remains compliant.
- Address compliance issues and contribute to the overall reliability and trustworthiness of the software.
- Strong leadership to effectively lead and guide the testing team.
- Inspire and motivate team members, set priorities, and provide clear direction to ensure the successful completion of testing activities.
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred)
- At least 7 years of software testing experience (manual and automation)
- Working knowledge of CRM software and basic call center functions
- Working Knowledge of Jira
- Strong knowledge of databases and SQL
- Testing Tools Experience
- EndTest experience preferred
- Experience in Javascript
- Understand software requirements
- Ability to learn testing methodologies
- Designing and implementing lifecycle software for testing
- Conducting scheduled testing at different stages of development
- Evaluating the results obtained
- Making reports and documentation
- Prescribing recommendations to improve the quality of the product
- Study the specifics of the product
