Overall Purpose of The Job

Lead crewing operations for defined segment and clients.

This role is the local representative of the entity to V.Group and local government institutions.

Operational responsibility, this role is accountable for compliant and timely crew relief as well as proactive planning of ratings for multiple mobilization teams.

Leads and manages Crew Mobilization Managers and is responsible for flawless delivery of crew mobilization responsibilities such as timely travel arrangements for approved crew, digitally capturing required documents for approved crew, point of escalation for CMPs in assigned fleet and crew cells, crew and family welfare coordination, and helping enhance usage and development of ShipSure.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks

  • Works closely with assigned customers to ensure service delivery as per the contract and escalate performance issues where required. This pertains to all stages of the customer journey, starting with onboarding new customers/fleets.
  • Functions as the point of contact in the escalation of all crew matters between the assigned customers and the Workforce Management / Crewing Operations organization. Supports assigned customers in managing the crew in respect of onboard performance and procedures.
  • Ensures that the Workforce Management / Crewing Operations team delivers upon the agreed KPIs.
  • Schedules and reports regular service performance and budget reviews in line with expectations agreed with the customer and recommend actions to support continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for the crewing elements of the budget, and reporting and negotiating with the customer in cooperation with the relevant departments.
  • Proactively identifies crew retention risks and issues, and works with appropriate stakeholders to mitigate the risks and address issues.
  • Ensures compliant and timely mobilisation of the approved crew by the mobilisation team.
  • Ensure proactive planning of ratings, if applicable, by the mobilisation team.
  • Ensures all required documents are digitally captured in ShipSure on time by mobilisation team.
  • Drives the diligent usage of ShipSure as a “system of record” for all mobilization activities.
  • Provides management support and guidance to Workforce Management / Crewing Operations team colleagues locally.
  • Assists HSSEQ in accident investigations related to crewing and the implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensures that the office is consistently meeting HSEQ standards of V. and new initiatives coming from the HSEQ department, which are related to the office, are implemented effectively.
