Your tasks

  • Take ownership of the economic performance of the business portfolio, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the business through a hands-on approach and active collaboration with various departments.
  • Gather and analyze relevant data to support informed underwriting decisions.
  • Develop and present underwriting decisions to the Head of Underwriting for approval and execute approved actions.
  • Apply strong analytical skills to make sound assumptions in areas with limited data availability.
  • Continuously refine pricing models, risk assessment frameworks, and decision-making processes.
  • Proactively identify key drivers of business profitability and implement strategies to enhance economic outcomes.


Your profile

  • University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Business Informatics, Economics or similar field
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-driven attitude.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to independently assess complex risks and make reliable decisions.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python, along with expertise in statistics, machine learning, and mathematical modeling.
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies and negotiation techniques is an asset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Japanese, Chinese, French, and/or German is an advantage.
