Job Description
A. Application Management
- Manages applications from inception to retirement: design, testing, operation, improvement.
- Integrates new applications into existing IT systems: conducts compatibility assessments, collaborates with IT teams, implements strategies to minimize disruptions.
- Responds to user-reported errors via IT's Service Desk Portal.
- Communicates with development teams for timely updates and IT support teams for troubleshooting.
- Oversees deployment, installation, configuration, and maintenance of applications.
- Keeps abreast of current trends and best practices in system admin support.
B. Support Administration
- Defines and discusses SLAs with business stakeholders; sets and tracks performance targets.
- Ensures sufficient resources for applications (servers, storage, network bandwidth).
- Establishes and maintains relationships with third-party vendors.
- Manages budget for application development, operation, and maintenance.
- Supervises procurement of software applications.
C. System and Data Security
- Implements security measures to protect applications from unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Monitors adherence to security protocols for access authentication, data in transit, and at rest.
- Ensures secure SDLC practices (OWASP).
- Designs and manages backup data and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Conducts regular security tests to ensure application security, privacy, and integrity.
D. Others
- Makes recommendations on business operations and related application/system matters.
- Participates in staff meetings, training programs, and professional development activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Four-year graduate in Computer, Engineering, or Math related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in applications management or application system development, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders, development teams, and vendors.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues and enhance application performance.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components like servers, storage, and network systems.
- Amenable to work in Makati City
