About the Role
The System Analyst is responsible for leading the development and design of solutions to business requirements in close collaboration with technical/business stakeholders on a project level; S/He is the first contact of the business partner for all business application-related IT topics as the interface between the business department and the IT design process. An individual contributor, the System Analyst helps to ensure the timely and effective delivery of tech solutions.
How you’ll contribute
- Researches and analyzes improvement opportunities; Conducts analysis, prepares recommendations, and facilitates efficiency enhancements
- Develops business requirement documents and specifications as part of a team of System Analysts.
- Works as directed by management team to research and document business issues involving workflow procedures and processes
- Analyzes data and works with management to develop creative solutions; Breaks down, decomposes and describes business needs into stories supporting an iterative and incremental delivery model
- Communicates and negotiates effectively with the business to clarify needs vs. wants/likes in order to balance business direction/requirements with cost of development as well as risks
- Supports a positive and collaborative digital delivery culture with a philosophy of continuous improvement, development, innovation and excellence, while remaining in compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.
It is accepted and understood that the employee may perform other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
What we’re looking for
- At least 5 years in a related field such as IT business analysis, Systems Analysis, project management, or IT consulting
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Management
- Can gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders
- Has Agile experience
- Can write detailed requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria)
- Knows atleast 1 diagramming or modeling technique (flowchart minimum)
- Can read API request and response
- Field of Specialization (if applicable):
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
- Strong understanding of IT systems and technology
- Experience with financial analysis and budgeting
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations
- Knowledge of IT service management principles and frameworks such as ITIL
- Understanding of business processes and their relationship to IT systems
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements
