About The Role

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to support our investment team in evaluating potential property acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, underwriting, and real estate investment analysis. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, financially savvy, and eager to grow in the real estate investment space.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis & Underwriting: Perform initial underwriting of real estate investment opportunities, evaluating financial feasibility and potential returns.
  • Data Entry & Modeling: Input financial data into pre-existing financial models and worksheets with precision and accuracy.
  • Market & Risk Assessment: Analyze rental income, financing structures, and potential risks associated with investment properties.
  • Financial Model Adjustments: Modify financial models based on changes in market conditions or property specifics to refine investment assumptions.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging opportunities and assess economic and industry trends.
  • Database Management: Develop and maintain a database of on and off-market opportunities for potential investment.
  • Development Pipeline Management: Build and sustain a robust real estate development pipeline aligned with company mission and strategy.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, presenting financial findings and underwriting assumptions to leadership.

Competencies And Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, real estate underwriting, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and real estate investment metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in real estate investment, property management, or commercial real estate.
  • Background in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) or private equity.
  • Familiarity with real estate financial modeling software.
