Job Responsibilities:
The client brings together a wealth of industry experience which includes owning and operating successful Optometric practices, supporting businesses for Optometry and Ophthalmology as well as other industry channel partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile transactions in Quickbooks, identifying and resolving discrepancies daily.
- Processing transactions and journals for year-end taxation work.
- Maintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifying
- Maintaining subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying and allocating transactions
- Reconciling entries to balance subsidiary accounts
- Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing accounting for information on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Work closely with other departments to validate financial transactions.
- Ensure that financial data is accurately reflected in the system.
- Assisting in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices, supplier payments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or in any related field
- With 8-10 years of accounting related experience
- Proven Australian experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoices
- With exposure in DEXT, Microsoft Excel - Pivot (highly desirable)
- With strong communication skills
