The Human Resources Director, Corporate Counsel and Corporate Secretary plays a crucial role in managing our human capital, ensuring legal compliance, and maintaining strong corporate governance for our Philippine operations. This position is vital for fostering a positive work environment, mitigating legal risks, and supporting the company's strategic objectives in the Philippines.
Shift Structure: Monday - Friday, 9AM to 6PM EST
Responsibilities:
- Advise Corporate Leadership on legal rules and regulations regarding Philippine staff
- Advise and manage Philippine HR and legal staff
- Conduct new hire orientations and final interviews for Philippine operations
- Oversee recruitment processes and consult with team managers on staffing needs in the Philippines
- Manage disciplinary procedures and employee relations for Philippine staff
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals for Philippine operations
- Lead performance and wage reviews for Philippine employees
- Develop and enforce clear company policies applicable to Philippine operations
- Oversee employee benefit programs for Philippine staff
- Represent the company in legal proceedings in the Philippines, including NLRC hearings
- Coordinate with external law firms in the Philippines for legal assistance
- Manage corporate documents and ensure compliance with Philippine regulatory bodies
- Oversee subsidiary management and governance for Philippine entities
- Ensure fulfillment of disclosure requirements to Philippine SEC and PSE1.
- Disciplinary procedures such as Notice To Explain (NTE) and Notice Of Decision (NOD) and record keeping
- Conducting performance and wage reviews
- Leading a team of HR Associates
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Philippine citizen and resident
- Juris Doctor degree with active membership in the Philippine Bar
- Extensive experience in HR management and corporate law in the Philippines
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and corporate governance
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and mediation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and HRIS systems
