Job Description

  • Designs, develops and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting fixtures, systems and equipment.
  • Working with senior staff provides the deliverables at all phases of project development, including: generation of specifications, design and documentation, prototype builds, and preparation of test and validation processes.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to analyze (and refine) the current test interface mechanics embedded within Allegro’s Probe and Final Test equipment.
  • Model, prototype and validate potential design improvements of equipment and/or interface designs.
  • Evaluate new OEM equipment proposals and concepts using engineering analysis and detailed design review.
  • Assist in the design, development, validation and implementation of new configurations of electromagnetic sub-modules for future test capabilities


Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience.
  • General systems-level (electro-mechanical) experience with the design and operation of automated equipment.
  • Knowledge of precision alignment mechanisms for high volume systems and equipment.
  • Proven experience in thermal management of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Some background in high/low voltage applications using contactors, relays or circuit breakers.
  • General understanding of the main phases of project development with a proven track record of meeting deliverables.
  • Ability to use Computer-Aided-Drafting (CAD) tools for creating mechanical designs and documentation.
  • History of self-motivation and initiative; outward desire for life-long learning
