Job Summary:
The Controller is responsible for managing the financial activities of the organization, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and investment controlling. This role ensures the accuracy of financial information, implements internal controls, supports strategic financial planning, and oversees the company's investment activities.
1. Financial Reporting:
· Analyze and present accurate and timely financial reports.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS).
· Preparation and analysis of adhoc reports.
2. Accounting Operations:
· Reviews actual CAPEX additions
· Prepare and review monthly accruals
· Review PL trend and proper GL classification
· Contribute to the timely closing of books
3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
· Develop and manage the annual budget process.
· Provide financial forecasts and variance analysis.
· Monitor and report on financial performance against the budget.
4. Internal Controls:
· Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
· Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
· Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
5. Strategic Partner:
· Review PL with different departments and come up with financial strategies.
· Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
6. Investment Controlling:
· Oversee the company's investment activities.
· Monitor and analyze investment performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
· Conduct financial due diligence and risk assessment for new investment opportunities.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize investment returns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Experience in investment controlling and portfolio management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
