PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the successful handling of social event leads, contracting and implementing under the guidance and direction of the Assistant Director of Events.
  • Ensures effective communication with clients and efficient coordination with key departments concerned.
  • Oversees Events profitability through effective planning, selling and merchandising.
  • To establish and maintain rapport with clients, prior to, throughout and post-conference, exceeding their expectations and encouraging repeat business.
  • Conducts site inspections and sales activities as required.
  • Assists the organizers, referrals and recommendations for outside subcontractors.
  • Keeps abreast of promotions throughout the hotel to help increase sales.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate superior.

REPORT LINE & COMMUNICATION

  • Reports to the Assistant Director of Events.
  • Coordinates with all concerned personnel to ensure that all activities are accomplished.
  • Communicates effectively with guest, clients, business partners and staff.

  • Continuous learning through own IDP.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum education of Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management or relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a 5-star class environment
  • Have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Have a positive attitude toward challenges and the drive to excel
  • Possesses professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
