JOB SUMMARY
The Material Management Engineer is responsible on planning the inventory supply of materials, parts, tools, and equipment required for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of customer’s aircraft, The primary role of Material Management Engineer is to ensure that the right materials are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right cost.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain accurate part numbers in AMOS & SAP, ensuring data integrity.
- Manage inventory databases for accurate forecasting and stock optimization.
- Analyze post-check spare consumption and shortfalls to improve material planning.
- Monitor and process inventory replenishment, repair orders, and stock transfers.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance operations.
- Oversee tools and equipment calibration schedules to maintain serviceability.
- Identify critical spares to prevent work stoppage and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams for efficient material flow.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and continuous process improvements.
- Conduct self-audits to validate safety and quality compliance.
- Ensure reports, KPI deliverables, and documentation are completed on time.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
- Adhere to company quality standards and safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Material Management Section.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation or engineering
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Material Planning is an advantage.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge and experience in Material Planning.
- Demonstrated knowledge of aviation materials, parts, tools, and equipment.
- A thorough understanding of aviation operations, materials management, and supply chain management is essential.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards related to the management of parts, tools & equipment.
- Proficient in MS Office suite products, especially Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint, able to use pivot table to perform trending and analysis and to prepare power point material for KPI reporting.
- Familiarity in AMOS and or SAP is an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to aviation standards.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for forecasting material consumption and optimizing inventory.
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate inventory databases in AMOS and SAP.
- Proficiency in procurement coordination, including purchase requests, repair orders, and stock replenishment.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation materials, tools, and equipment for effective decision-making.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams.
- Adaptability in managing material shortages and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Effective communication and reporting skills for documentation and transparency.
- Commitment to quality and safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
