Position Summary

Primarily supports the Fuel Economics as well as Strategic Sourcing section of the Fuel Management team; assisting the Commercial Department in activities such as sourcing, negotiating with, contracting, and managing suitable suppliers for Fuel (Coal, Oil and gas) and Ocean Freight as well as monitoring the relevant industries and markets to guide in decision making and to identify emerging opportunities and/or risks for both Operated and Non-Operated sites.

Ultimately, the role shall assist in coordinating with Power Station Operations as well as the Commercial Business Unit to ensure best Value-in-Use fuel costs by ensuring synergism between fuel costs, plant efficiency and compatibility with power sales agreements and/or sales strategy.

Lastly, the role will provide assistance in the endeavors of the Fuel Management team in Growing the Business and Risk Management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or any relevant field of study
  • At least 3 years of experience in commodity management and/or power industry is an advantage
