Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the Front Office, Housekeeping Departments and other assigned departments, through constant liaison with the heads of these departments.
- Review the manning guide of the division, at least, on a monthly basis to ensure greater staff productivity and efficiency.
- Formulate operational policies that will benefit the division, i.e. subject to the approval of the General Manager.
- Develop appropriate service standards for the division in accordance with desired quality standards of the Dusit Hotels and Resorts.
- Review, approve and endorse proposals of the departments handled pertaining to operational requirements.
- Liaise closely with other divisional heads on operational concerns affecting Rooms Division.
- Protect the interests of the Dusit Thani Manila and the Dusit group at all times.
- Develop an effective guest feedback mechanism in order to constantly review operational strengths and weaknesses.
- Ensure that adequate internal controls are set up and adhered to in the various departments and sections.
- Conduct ocular inspection of guestrooms, lobby area, service areas, offices, F&B outlets and other pertinent areas on a spot check basis.
- Monitor the revenues of the Business Center, Communication Center, and other profit centers of the division.
- Attend to guest complaint professionally and swiftly whenever necessary.
- Conduct effective training for managers and staff within the division.
- Coordinate with the Director of Engineering, Executive Housekeeper and Front Office Manager on the implementation of a cost-efficient Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Welcome and escort VIP guests in the Dusit way.
- Observe the Lobby operations closely and assist units that need reinforcement.
- Assist in developing other relevant programs in the hotel (e.g. energy conservation, environment preservation, sanitation, etc.)
- Liaise with the Security and engineering Departments in developing a comprehensive Security Plan and emergency Plan for the hotel.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
- Continuous learning through own IDP.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.

- Minimum education of Bachelor degree in Hotel Management or relevant discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of Rooms experience in a leadership capacity, preferably in a 5-star environment with established track record.
- Standards focused with ability to implement, monitor and develop forward.
- Strong leadership and management skills is essential.
- A keen eye and flair for training and development.
- Have excellent communication skills both in written and spoken English.
- Self-driven with an ability to motivate others to greater heights of success and excellent interpersonal skills.
