The Afterhours Consultant is responsible for assisting the Recruitment Consultants in the branch through active call handling, simultaneous record/database updating, and email management that requires effective multi-tasking skills to ensure all job orders are filled in quickly.

Purpose

As An Afterhours Consultant, You Will:

  • Manage virtual reception for our client, which includes but is not limited to, handling inbound and outbound calls, responding to emails to immediately address the concern
  • Address all associated admin tasks like updating the record (roster) and the system diligently
  • Contribute to team efficiencies by accomplishing the related task, as required

Your Daily Tasks Will Include:

  • Assist clients in their job requests such as Job Orders or Shift Queries
  • Coordinate with clients and Branch Consultants with regards to job orders, absences, tardiness, and replacement of candidates
  • As requested by Branch Consultants or clients, contact and place preferred candidates
  • Update clients on a candidate who confirmed and who needs a replacement
  • Cancel candidates as requested by Branch Consultants
  • Fill in the vacant orders by contacting available candidates
  • Create placements, update client card and candidate card using the client’s existing system
  • Initiate calls to complete candidate’s confirmations/attendance for client rosters
  • Ensure the database is always updated
  • Complete candidates’ availability checks in preparation for consultants to do the roster
  • Screen resumes and book interviews as required
  • Conduct Reference Checks of the candidates
  • Screen candidates to check suitability on the job orders
  • Run virtual reception for offices as required
  • Deal with candidate’s pay queries
  • Liaise with Branch Consultants in a professional and timely manner
  • Complete tasks and email requirements in a timely manner
  • Collaborate well with the team by assisting in completing all other tasks as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the client and/or management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Attributes

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong listening, and call-handling skills in a busy, multi-tasking environment
  • Proactive mindset with outstanding attention to detail
  • Technologically adept and highly trainable in new skills and software
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and manage work pressures
  • Flexibility to perform other relevant tasks as required by the client

Minimum Qualifications

  • Exposure to working on a rotating shift (day shift, mid, graveyard, early morning), including holidays and weekends
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Experience in a BPO, call centre, or similar work setting
  • Background in effectively managing calls, emails, and systems (software, apps, tools) simultaneously
  • Working with a team and manager both onshore and offshore

Advantageous (Having The Following Is a PLUS):

  • Strong knowledge of CRM and VoIP phone systems
  • Experience in recruitment or managing employees’ roster (shift schedules)
  • Awareness of Australian business culture
