The Budget and Activity Planning role sits within the Marketing Coordinator Program and supports budgeting activities and ensures financial compliance. This role monitors all activity during the fiscal year, tracks deliverables and ensures that the proper systems and processes are followed with respect to requests, proof of execution, invoice approvals and forecasting updates. This role is expected to provide reporting and KPIs periodically through the year.

The Budget and Activity Planning role sits within the Marketing Coordinator Program and supports budgeting activities and ensures financial compliance. This role is expected to provide reporting and KPIs periodically through the year.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Service Engagement: Supports new fiscal year planning efforts and responds to budget management queries. Supports requests from field marketers for PO/IO requests systemically and ensures compliance. This role is expected to be a resource to their local region on matters related to budget and spend, and to guide stakeholders on all the necessary tools and processes.
- Budget, Forecasting & PO Management: Monitor timely accrual completion and ensure goods receipts are processed via internal systems. Ensure proof of execution evidence is provided for all POs and invoices where required. Engage stakeholders to ensure budget and forecasting timelines are met.
- Data Quality, Hygiene & Compliance: Consult with budget owners during the course of the fiscal year to ensure data accuracy. Investigate spend discrepancies and ensure adherence to local budget restrictions and PO compliance. Support testing of new dashboard to be deployed and used for budget and spend tracking.
- Budget & Spend Reporting: Manage accurate spending reports and update the budget forecast throughout the year. Provide updates on spend tracking against established KPIs and identify actionable insights so that budget owners can take necessary actions.
Required Competencies & Skills:
- Proven skills in written and verbal communications
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting
- Basic business, systems, and process analysis
- Demonstrated understanding of Excel with advanced skills
- Ability to articulate and evangelize services with stakeholders
- Relationship management, collaboration and conflict resolution skills
- University degree
- 3-5 years in accounting, business operations or business consulting experience
- Budgeting and forecasting experience
- The laptop should have at least Intel i5 processor (7th or 8th Gen) and a minimum of 16 GB RAM. Mac laptops are not allowed.
- Must have their own laptop and stable internet connection at home.
