About the role
The IT Unit Manager is responsible for ensuring that IT services align with business objectives, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance standards. This role involves managing IT operations, optimizing service delivery, and fostering collaboration between internal teams and external service providers. What you'll be doing
Service Management & Performance Optimization
- Define, document, and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Monitor IT service performance to ensure compliance with agreed-upon SLAs and performance standards.
- Identify areas for service enhancement and contribute to the development and implementation of improvement plans.
- Address service-related issues and incidents promptly, working with relevant teams to minimize disruptions.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with internal teams and external service providers to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Facilitate communication between IT and units to align services with organizational goals.
- Provide regular performance reports and insights to stakeholders.
Risk & Compliance
- Identify potential risks related to IT services and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Ensure IT operations comply with regulatory, legal, and security requirements.
- Promote best practices in IT service management and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT management role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Strong technical expertise in banking IT systems, including core banking software, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and data management
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of IT professionals
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a customer-centric approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
