Description: The Assistant, Registrar assists with the maintenance of student records, performs general administrative tasks, provides support with customer service to students and staff as needed.

Reports To: Registrar

Office: The Office of the Registrar (REG) oversees the recordkeeping for all current and former students of IA graduation processing.

Requirements:

  • Understands and respects IAU's Mission Statement, Institutional Objectives, and Faith Statement.
  • Must be an active IAU student. If an F-1 student, must have and maintain valid F-1 status.
  • High school diploma required, or equivalent credentials and professional experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good critical-thinking, problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Good interpersonal skills with faculty, students, peers from diverse backgrounds.
  • PC proficient, comfortable with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, email, internet, re technologies such as student information management systems (SIMS), and SEVIS.
  • Information is seen that cannot be shared, repeated, or used in any way.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and have an understanding of the confidentiality of records and the work performed


Responsibilities:

1. Administrative

  • Drop documents at the front desk
  • Making copies
  • Printing documents
  • Pickup and delivery of mail for the off
  • Pickup, move, and store supplies
  • Alphabetizing documents and forms
  • Filing documents, student fil


2. Customer Service

  • Greet Students
  • Answering the phone
  • Assisting students


3. Archiving Project Student Files

  • Prepare the files for archiving: remove staples, purge documents that dont need to be kept (as directed the Registrar)
  • Scan documents
  • Index the documents and fil


4. Performs duties related to the job description, as assigned by the supervisor.
